Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 3, 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing or using Webhook Guard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
Webhook Guard is a webhook relay and delivery service for e-commerce merchants. It receives webhook events from your e-commerce platform, validates their authenticity, and forwards them to your configured integration endpoints. It does not modify your store data or act on your behalf beyond delivery.
3. Account & Authentication
Access is granted via OAuth through your e-commerce platform. You do not create a separate Webhook Guard account — your identity is verified through your store.
4. API Key
Webhook Guard issues you an API key as an additional security layer for authenticating webhook deliveries to your endpoints. You are responsible for keeping this key confidential. Regenerating your API key immediately invalidates the previous key. Do not share your API key with unauthorized parties.
5. Right of Use
Webhook Guard grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to access and use the service for the duration of your subscription. You may not transfer access, resell, or sublicense the service to any third party. Sharing your API key or account access with unauthorized parties is prohibited.
6. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information required to use the service and for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all content and data that passes through the service via your configured integrations.
7. Plans & Billing
- Free plan: Webhook deliveries are capped at the monthly event limit. Once reached, deliveries stop until the next billing period resets. No charges apply.
- Paid plans: Include a monthly event allowance. Overage is billed in blocks as specified in your plan. Billing renews monthly.
- Downgrades: Plan downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period to ensure uninterrupted service through the current period.
- Trials: Free trials convert to the paid plan at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
- No right of withdrawal: Because Webhook Guard is a digital service that begins immediately upon activation, there is no right of withdrawal once the service period has started.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, at which point your account reverts to the Free plan. We may also terminate your access with 30 days' notice. No refunds are issued for unused periods.
8. Webhook Delivery
Delivery is attempted on a best-effort basis. Failed deliveries are retried with exponential backoff. We do not guarantee delivery if your endpoint is unreachable, returns persistent errors, or if your plan limit has been reached. We are not liable for missed deliveries resulting from downtime on your endpoint.
9. Data & Privacy
- Webhook payloads are processed in transit and stored for event history and audit purposes.
- API keys and integration settings are stored securely.
- Audit logs record configuration changes made to your account.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- Data may be retained for up to 90 days for audit and debugging purposes.
- For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not use Webhook Guard to receive or forward illegal content, conduct fraud, or circumvent your platform's policies. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
11. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and infrastructure events may cause brief interruptions. We are not liable for business losses resulting from service outages.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webhook Guard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Texas.
15. Contact
